Over three hundred people crowded into the Thomas Peacocke Main Hall to discuss the proposed Tesco Store which has designs on the Ferry Road School site. The meeting was called by CROSS (Campaign of residents opposing a second supermarket). Michael Foster M.P. for Rye and Greg Barker M.P. for Bexhill & Battle were on the panel.
