More and more couples are choosing Rye for the ideal place to tie the knot. The wedding of Ida Croci and Dudley Ward took place on Saturday 25th July, the couple are both from London, and chose to marry in Rye after a previous holiday visit. Ida’s family are Italian, and many flew over for the wedding, and stayed most of the weekend. The service was held at the Roman Catholic Church of “St Anthony of Padua” in Watchbell Street, by Father Joseph Aylookunnel. The newlyweds and their guests then enjoyed a reception at The George in Rye, prior to which, the couple were driven around the town in an open top Bentley Beauford. After the weekend Ida and Dudley jetted off to Italy for their honeymoon, before returning to their normal lives in the city with their children Athea & Charlie.
