End of the Road for Popular Rye Charity ARRCC

Regular readers will know that Rye’s Own has never been shy when
criticising East Sussex County Council and Council Leader, Keith Glazier
but things said about him and East Sussex C.C. relating to the demise
of popular local charity ARRCC by a local internet news service have
got Rye’s Own jumping to their defence.

Exciting Pyjama Walk News

The ever-popular Ashford Pyjama Walk for Pilgrims Hospices raised over £46,000 this year.

Victoria Lawrence, Community Fundraising Manager for Pilgrims Hospice, Ashford said: “I’m delighted and thrilled to share the news with our community supporters, the total of over £46,000 is amazing. Good Weather, Good Fun, Great Event Rye buzzed to the sound of hundreds of cogs and wheels as the 7th Fun Cycle Challenge started recently in the town and sped across the Marsh to Hythe.
